CSM Kyle S. Edwards is a native of Whitney, TX. He entered military service in 1987, completing Engineer Initial Entry Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
CSM Edwards assumed his current duties in June 2021. Previous assignments include: Heavy Equipment/Crane Operator, 980th Engineers; Drill Sergeant/Senior Drill Sergeant, 95th DIV; OC/T and First Sergeant, 75th DIV; KM Developer, 70th DIV; Acting CSM, Small Arms Readiness Group; Engineer School SGM, 102nd DIV; CSM, 413th Civil Affairs BN and 489th Engineer BN; and CSM, 420th Engineer BDE. CSM Edwards was mobilized with the 75th DIV to Fort Sill, OK in 2003 and deployed to Iraq as a Combat Advisor Team NCOIC in 2009.
CSM Edwards is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. Other military education includes: First Sergeant Course, Drill Sergeant and Drill Sergeant Leader Schools, Observer/Controller Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Combat Advisor Course, and Unit Mobilization Planner Course. His Military Occupational Skills include Crane Operator (62F), Heavy Equipment Operator (62E) and Field Artillery Cannon Crewman (13B). CSM Edwards holds Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Texas Arlington.

CSM Edwards currently lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife Janell, where he is a Senior Program Analyst (GS14) with the US General Services Administration. Hobbies and activities include: hunting, fishing, backpacking, snowboarding, and woodworking.
