Brig. Gen. Joseph F. Dziezynski

Military Intelligence Readiness Command

Brigadier General (BG) Joseph F. Dziezynski was born in Utica, New York. In 1991, he earned his commission from the United States Military Academy at West Point. His initial active duty assignment was the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA. He later served with the 40th Infantry Division, California Army National Guard. In 2002 he transitioned to the Army Reserve as a Military Intelligence officer, serving in operational intelligence assignments in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Other assignments include duty as: Platoon Leader and Executive Officer at the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment; Battalion Intelligence Officer (S2), Company Commander and Assistant Brigade Operations Officer (AS3) with the 40th Infantry Division (Mechanized); Imagery Exploitation Team Chief, Joint Intelligence Center Pacific Command (JICPAC), San Diego; Collection Manager, Joint Intelligence Center CENTCOM (JICCENT); Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Program Manager, Afghanistan; Battalion and Group Commander, 2400 Military Intelligence Group (MIG) supporting the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC); Brigade Commander of the United States Army Reserve Element (ARE) Central Command (CENTCOM), Tampa, Florida; Commander of the 259th Expeditionary MI Brigade at Joint Base Lewis McCord, WA (JBLM); and Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Fort Belvoir, VA. On 1 June 2021, BG Dziezynski became the Commanding General of the United States Army Reserve Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC), Fort Belvoir, VA.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Expert Infantryman Badge, and Parachutist Badge.

BG Dziezynski is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and holds master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, and Strategic Studies.
