Major General David M. Samuelsen serves as the Commanding General of the 108th Training Command.
After serving as the Deputy Commanding General of the 80th Training Command, MG Samuelsen most recently served as the Commanding General of the 98th Training Division. (Previous General Officer Assignments)
Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin in 1994, he was commissioned as a Military Police Officer and has since held various key leadership positions supporting the United States Army Reserve.
During his career, he has had the privilege of serving as a Combat Trainer for the 86th Division and the Provost Marshal for North Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom.
BG Samuelsen commanded troops at the Brigade and Battalion level as the 1114th Mobilization Support Battalion Commander and later as the Commander of the 290th MP Brigade.
BG Samuelsen's staff experience includes the Command Inspector General of the 76th Division and the 103rd Sustainment Command.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Management and Leadership from Webster University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
His awards include Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
