Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) Matthew S. Brenner is currently serving as the Command Chief Warrant Officer and the Senior Health Services Maintenance Advisor to the 3D MC(DS). CW5 Brenner advises the Commanding General on Warrant Officer issues, as well as advise the 3D MC(DS), G4 for Maintenance concerns.
CW5 Brenner enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserve as a Private 26 December 1985; assigned to the 21st General Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He promptly became a medical maintenance technician for the 21st General Hospital and has held increasing levels of responsibilities both enlisted and as a Warrant Officer throughout his military career of over 38 years. In December 1990, he mobilized and deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist. In February 2003, he mobilized and deployed to Afghanistan as the Theater Medical Maintenance Officer in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In January 2013, he mobilized and deployed a third time to Qatar as the Chief, Medical Maintenance Management Division, U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center-Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His assignments as a Warrant Office include duty with the 452nd Combat Support Hospital, the 410th Medical Logistics Support Company, the 308th Medical Logistics Company, the Central Medical Area Readiness Support Group, the 330th Medical Brigade, served as the Command Chief Warrant Officer for ARMEDCOM, served as the Senior Health Services Maintenance Advisor to USARC G4, and Served as the CCWO and Senior Health Services Maintenance Advisor for the 807th MC(DS).
CW5 Brenner holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and an Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technologies. He was distinguished honor graduate of Warrant Officer Candidate School. He has completed the Warrant Officer Basic Course (670A), Medical Logistics Officer’s Course (70K), AMEDD Officer Advance Course, Warrant Officer Staff Course, and is a graduate of the Warrant Officer Senior Service Education.
CW5 Brenner’s military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (6th award), the Army Commendation Medal (5th award), the Army Achievement Medal (4th award), the Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War of Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War of Terrorism Service Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. CW5 Brenner has been inducted into the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit.
CW5 Brenner has a passionate, professional interest in refining accuracy to ensure readiness, emphasizing mentorship and representing the Warrant Officer Creed to the highest standards. He recently completed his tenure as the Vice Chairman for the Senior Warrant Officer Advisory Council 88thReadiness Division Region.
