Command Sergeant Major Bertazon’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (w/6oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (w/4 oak leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (w/8oak leaf clusters), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal both the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Drivers Badge, German Marksmanship Badge (Bronze) and the Military Intelligence Knowlton Award.

Command Sergeant Major Bertazon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration and Management from Excelsior University and is a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. He is married to Jennifer Agnew and they have three children Nia, Mitchell, and Ethan.
