Chief Warrant Officer Four Chris Johnson entered military service as a Private in the United States Army National Guard in May 1993.  He joined the United States Army Reserve in 2001 and was appointed as an Army Reserve Warrant Officer in 2007. He assumed the role of 88th Readiness Division Command Chief Warrant Officer in November 2023.
CW4 Johnson’s previous assignment was the senior human resources technician for the 103d Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Des Moines, Iowa. Other previous assignments include: secretary to the general staff, command human resources technician, division senior human resources technician, brigade human resources technician, and company commander.
 

He served in various technical roles such as: senior human resources technician, Area Support Group-Jordan, Joint Training Center-Jordan; senior human resources technician, 416th Theater Engineer Command, Darien, IL; senior human resources technician, 301st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA; senior human resources technician, First Army, Rock Island Arsenal, IL; human resources technician, 1st Brigade (Engineer), 102d Training Division (Maneuver Support), Tulsa, OK; and human resources technician, 2d Brigade (military Police), 102d Training Division (Maneuver Support), Fort Snelling, MN.

CW4 Johnson is a graduate of the Human Resources Technician Warrant Officer Basic and Advanced courses, and Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education.

CW4 Johnson’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and a German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge in Silver as well as various other service medals and ribbons.

As a civilian, CW4 Johnson currently works full time for the United States Army Reserve as the Command Executive Officer for the 102d Training Division (Maneuver Support) located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.  CW4 Johnson currently resides in Rolla, MO with his wife and two sons.
