First Sergeant Lonnie Lape is a native of Papillion, Nebraska. He entered the Army Reserve in January 1994 and completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He then finished the Motor Vehicle Operators Course at Ft Leonard Wood, MO and was awarded the Motor Transport Operator (88M) Military Occupational Specialty. In August 2005 he attended the Retention and Transition Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Course at Fort McCoy, WI and was awarded the Army Reserve Career Counselor (79V) Military Occupational Specialty.
