Mr. Chris K Johnson is currently serving as the Command Executive Officer for the 102d Training Division (Maneuver Support), headquartered in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In this capacity, he manages the day to day functions of the Division for the Commanding General and direct supervision of the assigned full time work force.
The 102d Tng Div (MS) is comprised of thirty battalions organized under six subordinate brigades and three direct reporting units, consisting of more than 2,000 Soldiers and 150 full time employees located in 30 states. The 102d Training Division executes mission command over six accredited The Army School System Brigades which provide Military Occupation Specialty Reclassification Training and technical phases training of Professional Military Education for the Career Management Fields (CMF) of Engineer, Military Police, Chemical, Military Intelligence, Signal, Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations branches. Approximately one out of every three Army Reserve Soldiers attend a class conducted by the 102d Training Division.
Mr. Johnson previously served as the Human Resources Officer for the 102d Training Division, Logistics Management Specialist and Staff Administrator of the 2d Bde (MP) at Fort Snelling MN, and Unit Administrator of the 949th Med Det (VS) at Ames IA prior to being selected as the 102d Tng Div (MS) Command Executive Officer in May of 2016.
Although currently serving in the United States Army Reserve, Mr. Johnson initially enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard in May of 1993 as a Private in a Mechanized Infantry Company. He served in numerous positions and joined the United States Army Reserve in 2000. Mr. Johnson was appointed to the rank of WO1 as a Human Resource Technician in November of 2007. Currently, he serves as a CW3 Human Resources Technician in the G-1 section of the 416th Theater Engineer Command.
Mr. Johnson’s awards include the Superior Civilian Service Award, two Commander’s Awards for Civilian Service, and numerous time off and performance awards.
Mr. Johnson was born and raised in Turin, Iowa. He currently resides with his wife Jamie and two sons Lucas and Connor in Rolla, Missouri.
