Chief Warrant Officer 5 John Brasfield

88th RD Chief Warrant Officer

Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) John Brasfield enlisted in the United States Army in July 1987. He received his Basic Training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and his Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.

CW5 Brasfield has held a variety of assignments in multiple components to include: Legal Specialist, 113th JAG Detachment, Wichita, Kansas (USAR); Cavalry Scout, HHC, 2/7th Infantry, 24th Infantry Division, Ft. Stewart, Georgia (AC); OH-58 Scout Pilot, C Company, 1st Infantry Division, Ft. Riley, Kansas (AC); RC-12 Pilot, HHS, 1st Military Intelligence Battalion, Wiesbaden, Germany (AC); UH-1 Pilot, D Company, 1/114th AVN, Salina, Kansas (KSARNG); Deputy S-4, 69th Troop Command, Wichita, Kansas (KSARNG); Legal Administrator, OSJA, 89th RRC, Wichita, Kansas (USAR); Legal Administrator, HQ, 8th LSO, Independence, MO (USAR); Force Manager, USAR Legal Command, Gaithersburg, MD (USAR); Command Chief Warrant Officer, USAR Legal Command, Gaithersburg, MD (USAR); Command Chief Warrant Officer, 9th Mission Support Command, Honolulu, HI (USAR). During these assignments, CW5 Brasfield completed two combat and five imminent danger tours.

Chief Warrant Officer Five Brasfield is a graduate of the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course, Army Force Management Course, Fixed Wing Multi-Engine Qualification Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, and multiple other qualification and military professional development courses. He holds a bachelors degree in Public Administration from Upper Iowa University and a Masters of Business Administration from Southwestern College.
