FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. - U.S. Army Reserve Spcs. Justin Jarosz and Cassie Kiester-Maldonado, both cargo specialists with the 743rd Transportation Company out of Boston, familiarize themselves with clearing procedures for the M249 light machine gun during Operation Cold Steel II at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Oct. 24, 2017. Operation Cold Steel II is the U.S. Army Reserve's crew-served weapons qualification and validation exercise to ensure that America's Army Reserve units and Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy on short notice, bringing combat-ready and lethal firepower in support of the Total Army and our Joint Force anywhere in the world.
