Army Reserve Ambassador Tom Anderson is a retired Colonel from the Army Reserve.  During his thirty-two year career he held numerous positions, starting with his entry into the National Guard in 1968.  He enlisted and was promoted to E-5. In 1970, he entered into OCS and was commissioned as 2nd LT.  He rose through the ranks commanding at the company, battalion, and brigade level.  He was activated in 1991 for Operation Desert Storm as a Battalion Commander.  His last military assignment was Chief of Staff, 90th Regional Readiness Command.  He earned numerous medals during his career, with his highest being the Legion of Merit.
