Army Reserve Ambassador Phillip M. Churn Sr. is currently the Founder, CEO and President of Syzygy International, LLC, a security risk management consulting company in Springfield, Virginia.  Ambassador Churn retired as a Major General from the military after 37 years of service.  He served as the Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, advising on all matters affecting manning, training, equipping and mobilization of the military Reserve Forces.  Ambassador Churn commanded the 200th Military Police Command, the largest military police organization in the Department of Defense.  His operational assignments included deployments to Kabul and Bagram, Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. 

Ambassador Churn is a graduate of the Army War College and has also attended other various military schools.  His military awards and decorations include two Distinguished Service Medals and two Bronze Star Medals, along with numerous other military awards and decorations.
