Army Reserve Ambassador Terry DeWitt graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1988 with a BSE in Physical Education as was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.  He completed a Master’s degree in Education from Nicholls State University in 1990, and another Master’s degree in Physical Education from Henderson State University in 1999. He began his college teaching in 1994 and was promoted to full professor in 2011. He has been the department chair for Kinesiology at his alma mater since 2014. He is starting is 20th year as a faculty member. Terry was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005 and again in 2009-2010, and was awarded two Bronze Star’s respectively. Upon his retirement, he was awarded the Legion of Merit.
