The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Total Army forces train National Guard units, ahead of future deployment
Louisiana National Guard Soldiers assigned to Alpha Battery, 1-141st Field Artillery, 256th Infantry Brigade, Jackson Barracks, Louisiana prepare an M-119 Alpha Three Howitzer for a fire support mission during Exportable Combat Training Capability 24-01 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Field artillery units provide protection during convoy movements and allow Soldiers to move throughout the battlefield. Army Reserve observer coach/trainers and mechanics, assigned to the 85th U.S. Army Reserve Support Command, provided training and logistic support to XCTC 24-01 exercise for the National Guard units, ahead of upcoming deployments.
