The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Know Your Defender - Immediate Response
U.S. Army Reserve 2nd Lt. Bridgette Murillo, a movement control officer in training with the 793rd Movement Control Team, 510th Regional Support Group, poses for a photo Saturday, Apr. 20, 2024, at the Port of Kalundborg, Denmark. Murillo coordinated the offload and onward movement of all cargo from the motor vessel GREEN OCEAN through the Port of Kalundborg and to its final destination, in support of DEFENDER Europe and its connected exercises. The 793rd is a specialized unit, trained on all aspects of sending and receiving personnel and cargo in support of U.S. missions across the globe. DEFENDER, U.S. Army Europe - Africa's largest annual training event, is a three-phase exercise, designed to demonstrate the ability of U.S. forces to rapidly deploy in support of ally and partner nations. The 7th Mission Support Command is the U.S. Army Reserve presence in Europe. Comprised of 26 units across Germany and Italy, the 7th MSC provides logitiscal and sustainment resources in support of U.S. Army Europe and Africa missions across the theater.
