The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Soldiers boost morale, ammo skills during Operation Patriot Press
Soldiers from the Michigan Army National Guard’s 1460th Transportation Company and the 266th Ordnance Company, U.S. Army Reserve-Puerto Rico, work side by side with civilian ammunition and logistics experts at Crane Army Ammunition Activity to sharpen their logistics skills and gain valuable ammunition-handling experience during Operation Patriot Press. Operation Patriot Press is a U.S. Army Materiel Command initiative linking Army Reserve and National Guard units to real-world missions during mandatory annual training periods to better support the U.S. Army’s overall strategic positioning objectives.
