New York, N.Y. – Maj. Gen. Kris A. Belanger, commander of the 99th Readiness Division (left), and Ronald “Ron” Shindel, a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (NY South), present a U.S. Army Minuteman Scholarship to Zachary Seepersaud, during a 249th U.S. Army Birthday event here on June 14, 2024. The event was hosted by the U.S. Army New York City Recruiting Battalion to celebrate the contributions of Soldiers who’ve served the nation and strengthen relationships with community partners.

After an extensive and honorable military career, he now continues his commitment as an Army Reserve Ambassador (ARA) for Indiana. In this role, he works to advocate for Army Reserve Soldiers, veterans, and their families in his community.

Sgt. 1st Class Rauel Tirado and Spc. Brian Didlake (both right), 204th Public Affairs Detachment, Orlando, Fl., complete an interview with Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Porchia, 307th Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Company, Bell California, during a nighttime search and rescue training exercise at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, April 29. The training was part of Guardian Response 22, a Multi-component Homeland Emergency Response Exercise run by the Army Reserve’s 78th Training Division. Search and rescue teams were responsible for evaluating chemical threats, locating and extracting simulated casualties from a three-story abandoned hospital where an explosion had taken place.
