The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Staff Sgt. Anne Carmichael, an Army Reserve practical nursing specialist from Aurora, Colo., is assigned to Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force-7452, which mobilized July 27, 2020 and is providing support to DHR Health in Edinburg, Texas. The unit is part of the Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency response to COVID-19. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to states in need as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-nation COVID-19 response.
