McClain and Bigelow are from the 801st Combat Support Hospital, now deployed to Detroit as part of the Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force 801-2. They have provided care for COVID-19 patients since the task force arrived in Detroit in early April. The 620,000 square foot convention center has been transformed into a temporary regional care facility.
