U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Thomas Browne, a native of Liberia, Africa, who became an American citizen, serves as the billeting NCO for Taji Military Complex, Iraq. As a child, Browne survived a civil war and life in refugee camps before emigrating to the United States. He became both a civilian police officer and joined the military. Browne is shown working in his office at Taji Feb. 8, 2020. His reserve unit promoted him soon afterward.
