Joint Planners establish International Maritime Security Construct Headquarters
Mine countermeasures ship USS Devastator (MCM 6) navigates through the Arabian Gulf. Devastator is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of Operation Sentinel, a multinational maritime effort to promote maritime security, ensure freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce throughout key waterways in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Gulf of Oman.
