The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Signs mark the outside of a building in downtown Steyerberg, Germany identifiying the building as the site of the Civil-Military Cooperation Center South during Joint Cooperation 2019, a civil-military cooperation exercise involving 24 nations from Europe and North America. During the exercise, the Soldiers are placed in a scenario of conflict in the fictional states of Torrike and Framland. The Soldiers mission is to interact with roleplayers acting as local citizens of the area who either question their presence in the area, want to provide information or need help addressing humanitarian concerns. The exercise was conducted from Oct. 28 - Nov. 8 in and around Nienberg, Germany. A similiar facility was set up near Clausewitz Kaserne near Nienburg, Germany and designated as the Civil-Military Cooperation Center North.
