The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Army Biomed Techs Train with General Electric to Enhance Medical Readiness
These Army Reserve Biomedical Equipment Specialists, having the military occupational specialty of 68A, are students in the GE Healthcare Institute Externship program. Here they discuss a training problem on October 23, 2019. Pictured left to right are Spc. Axel Cruzdiaz, Spc. Jessy Becerra, Sgt. David Travis, and an unnamed GE HCI instructor. The Soldiers are part of a class cohort currently in the first phase of an intensive ten month regiment. The program is designed to enhance the range of medical equipment they can install, maintain and trouble shoot. The equipment is used in Army medical centers and medical sites in the field.
