The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Getting It Done
U.S. Army Reserve Pvt. Zakiya Magid, a supply specialist from Bronx, New York, with the 358th Engineer Company, hands a trowel of mortar to U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. Brett Baginsky, a technical engineer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also with the 358th, during the construction of a medical clinic June 21 in Tojocaz, Guatemala. The 358th Engineer Co. brought a diverse team including U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from Haiti, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Ghana and throughout Pennsylvania to work with Guatemalan partners to build a medical clinic for the people of Tojocaz.
