The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. - The 63rd Readiness Division and Fort Hunter Liggett are leading the way to increase Army Reserve membership in the Sgt. Audie Murphy Club (SAMC) be establishing the West Coast Chapter. They plan on hosting at least two boards annually at Fort Hunter Liggett and Parks Reserve Forces Training Area. During the week of May 21, 2018, five Army Reserve Soldiers participated in the SAMC’s intensive exam process to prove their physical, mental, weapons, and leadership skills. Pictured is Sgt. 1st Class Stephanie Hendricks with the 11th Battalion, Army Reserve Careers Division with her sponsor Master Sgt. Hector Soto at the Fort Hunter Liggett weapons qualification range during the Sgt. Audie Murphy Club testing. The SAMC is an elite Army organization of Soldiers that exemplify the Army Corps and community service. When a Soldier is inducted, he/she is given a medallation and induction certificate in a formal ceremony.
