The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. U.S. Army Reserve officer brings skills and passion to ARE EUCOM
U.S. Army Reserve Lt. Col. Rena Patierno, a native of Staatsburg and pastry chef, poses for a photograph at Girasole, an authentic Italian Cuisine restaurant owned and operated by her first cousin, Louis Patierno in The Plains, Va. Patierno brings more than 26 years of experience as a registered nurse specializing in intensive care and emergency medicine to ARE EUCOM, as well as 18 years of military service in the United States Army Reserve as a Nurse Corps Officer and Civil Affairs Officer. U.S. ARE EUCOM provides timely support to the combatant command and enhances its ability to conduct military operations.
