The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Army Reserve leader speaks on celebrating our veterans
Army Reserve Lt. Col. Priscilla Van Zanten, right, Transportation Officer, 85th Support Command, speaks with a veteran moments before taking the stage as the keynote speaker at Buffalo Grove’s Veteran’s Day ceremony on Nov. 11, 2017 at the Buffalo Grove High School. Van Zanten spoke about the importance of taking time for veterans not only on Veterans Day, but every day. She said that she has been attending the Buffalo Grove Veteran’s Day event for the last ten years, and was grateful to have the opportunity to represent not only the Army Reserve, but all those who have served and continue to serve on such an important federal holiday.
