The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Maureen Simpkins, G3 operations sergeant major, 335th SC (T) after Frye successfully completed a two-week Master Leader Course at Fort Stewart, Georgia July 31. The course was the first of its kind held at Fort Stewart, and Frye was the first Soldier from his command to complete MLC. Although the Army has been developing and refining the MLC for the past two years, it became a requirement for sergeants first class to be promoted to master sergeant under the Select, Train, Educate and Promote (STEP) policy on January 1, 2017.
