The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. A century of service
Sgt. First Class Reynaldo McKie, Senior Staff Movement NCO, 85th Support Command, speaks during a celebration at the 85th Support Command’s 100th anniversary on June 9, 2017 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The unit was first formed during World War I, and later participated in campaigns during World War II. The 85th Infantry Division, at the time, lost more than 7,000 casualties and had four Medal of Honor recipients. Their names are currently etched onto the unit’s command coin today.
