The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Command Sgt. Maj. Vernon Perry III, Command Sergeant Major, 85th Support Command shakes the hand of Shelby Iubel, wife of Pfc. Tyler Iubelt, thanking her for the sacrifice her husband made. Iubelt, who served with the First Cavalry Sustainment Brigade, was killed in Afghanistan on November 12, 2016. S. Iubelt said she was honored to see so many people reach out to show her and her mother-in-law so much love and support.
