The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Soldier Mentor for All-American Bowl exemplifies Army values
Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Jason L. Jenkins, the Secretary of the Army's Career Counselor of the Year for 2016, assigned to the 3rd Battalion, Army Reserve Careers Division, chats with a group of All-American marching band members at the Alamodome in San Antonio Jan. 4. Jenkins and other outstanding Soldiers from around the country are performing duties as Soldier mentors for more than 100 All-American Bowl athletes and more than 125 All-American marching band students from across the U.S. as they prepare for the 17th Annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl to be held Jan. 7th. For 16 years the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation's premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America's future college and NFL stars.
