CLEVELAND (November 19, 2016) – Brigadier Gen. Stephen E. Strand, saluting, deputy commanding general for the 88th Regional Support Command and representing President Barack Obama, and Tim Garfield, the great-great grandson of the former president, along with other surviving members of the Garfield family presented the wreath at the base of the James A. Garfield Memorial during the wreath laying ceremony honoring what would have been the 185th birthday of the 20th President of the United States.
