983rd Engineering Battalion at Crane Army Ammunition Activity
Sgt. Alex Park of the 983rd Engineering Battalion operates equipment to complete the project’s demolition and removal mission. U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers of the 983rd Engineering Battalion worked on five construction projects designed to improve infrastructure during the unit’s annual training hosted by Crane Army Ammunition located on Naval Support Activity Crane Activity. “I’ve been an engineer for my entire career, and any project I’ve ever done has been horizontal, which is all infrastructure or deconstruction. That is exactly what we’re doing here,” Park, the NCOIC of a deconstruction project, said. The deconstruction will make way for renovations and additions to existing facilities so that CAAA can continue to improve ways in which it supports the Warfighter.
