The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. All-American Bowl players, mentors get a lesson from Texas kids
From right: Tavien Feaster, a Team East running back from Spartan High School in Spartanburg, S.C., and Derrick Brown, a Team East defensive lineman from Lanier High School in Buford, Ga., quiz a student Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Boysville in San Antonio, Texas, during a community outreach event for the Army All-American Bowl. The players work, along with U.S. Army Soldiers, work closely with several nonprofit organizations for at-risk youth during the weeklong lead up to the high school football all-star game.
