The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. Erin Hesse, a freshman in the Penn State University ROTC program, conquers the log obstacle on the obstacle course at Camp Buckner, N.Y., in preparation for the 2015 Sandhurst competition held at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., April 10-11, 2015. The competition originated in 1967 between cadets from the United States and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst of Great Britain. It was originally intended "to provide the Corps of Cadets with a challenging and rewarding regimental skills competition, which will enhance professional development and military excellence in selected soldier skills." In 2015, more than 21 teams from eight different countries are competing for the coveted British officer's sword. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Brian Hamilton)
