Veteran seabee shares his story
John Johnson, Vietnam veteran, at the 14th Annual Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo at Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos, Calif., Oct. 25, 2015. Johnson served in the Navy as a utilities mate first class aboard the USS Colahan. Johnson was displaying his vintage Chevy 3100 pickup truck. "I've been attending this event every year since 2006, except for the past few years when I was working on my truck," said Johnson. The Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo, produced by the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce, features hundreds of hot rods and exotic cars, helicopters, airplanes and vintage warplanes on display combined with local vendors, great food and exhibits from law enforcement agencies and the military.
