The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. President Obama thanks troops at New Jersey’s Joint Base MDL
U.S. President Barack Obama speaks to an audience of 3,000 service members, military families, civic leaders and elected officials Dec. 15 inside a U.S. Marine hangar on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The purpose of the president’s visit to JB MDL was to thank troops for their service. Also speaking at the event were Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, and Maj. Gen. Rick Martin, commanding general of the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center.
