FREMONT, Ohio - Major Gen. Patrick J. Reinert, center, commanding general of the 88th Readiness Division, speaks about the legacy and service of President Rutherford B. Hayes, the 19th president of the United States, during an annual wreath laying ceremony honoring the former president, October 7. Hayes served in the 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War before entering political office following the end of the war.
