FORT JACKSON, S.C. - Maj. Gen. Robert D. Harter, outgoing commander of the 81st Readiness Division, passes to colors to Lt. Gen. Jody Daniels, chief of the Army Reserve and commanding general of the United States Army Reserve Command, during the change of command event at the 81st Readiness Division, yesterday, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Maj. Gen. Patricia Wallace, the new commanding general of the 81st RD, most recently served as the commanding general of the 80th Training Command in Richmond, Virginia. A change of command event is a time-honored ceremony in which control of an organization is relinquished from one leader to another. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Crystal Harlow)
