U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers conduct training at Vulcan Forge

FORT McCLELLAN, Ala. - Sgt. Harold Wanton, assigned to the 300th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, stands as a range safety during Vulcan Forge at Fort McClellan, April 11, 2024. In order to ensure range safety, safeties will check that weapons are clear, police weapon safety, and direct soldiers every move while on the range. 81st Readiness Division Mission Command Support Group’s Vulcan Forge mission is conducted yearly for Soldiers assigned to the 81st RD MCSG and its subordinate units in order to improve Soldier readiness and unit preparedness.
