KALUNBORG, Denmark - U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. Vaponne Sears, the motor sergeant with 793rd Movement Control Team, 510th Regional Support Group poses for a photo at the Port of Kalundborg, Denmark, Wednseday, Apr. 17, 2024. Sears aided in all aspects of reception, staging, and on-ward movement operations in support of exercise Immediate Response, one of three linked exercises in the DEFENDER Europe series. The 793rd is a specialized unit, trained on all aspects of sending and receiving personnel and cargo in support of U.S. missions across the globe. Their efforts ensured the timely offloading, processing, staging, and onward movement of U.S. military equipment essential to follow on exercises across Europe. DEFENDER, U.S. Army Europe - Africa's largest annual training event, is a three-phase exercise, designed to demonstrate the ability of U.S. forces to rapidly deploy in support of ally and partner nations.
