CHARLESTON, S.C.-- U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers with the 159th Military Police Battalion Criminal Investigation Command located in Terre Haute, Ind., divide into two person teams to conduct counter-surveillance operations by attempting to identify several surveillance vehicles and personnel during Guardian Shield 2016, July 26 2016. Guardian Shield is a training event, based at the Federal Law Enforcement Center in Charleston, S.C., focused on core competencies for special agents.

John Woods, a dental assistant from the Army Reserve’s 7233rd Medical Support Unit in Birmingham, Ala., gives a piggy-back ride to a local child from the Lower Brule Indian Reservation located 61 miles south of Pierre, S.D. July 19, 2016. Innovative Readiness Training brought Woods to the area where his unit is assisting the local health clinic with various medical services. He, along with three other Soldiers made a special trip to the Lower Brule Boys and Girls Club to teach children about proper dental hygiene.
