WASHINGTON, D.C. - Edna Cummings, Army Reserve Ambassador for Maryland, delivers remarks during a ceremony in Emancipation Hall at the U.S. Capitol building where the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion received the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor awarded in the United States. Cummings has worked tirelessly since 2018 to bring awareness of the unit and their heroic actions during WWII.
