CAMP SHELBY, Miss. - Brig. Gen. Kris A. Belanger, Commanding General, 85th U.S. Army Support Command, reflects on the command’s lineage while looking at a monument at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, honoring the World War II Soldiers of the, then, 85th Infantry Division which fought overseas during World War II. Four Soldiers from the 85th Infantry Division received the Medal of Honor for their service in action. Two of them received the medal posthumously. Belanger visited Camp Shelby from August 8th through 11th to observe her observer coach/trainers conduct training lanes for Infantry Soldiers from the Florida National Guard during eXportable Combat Training Capability 19-05.
