A food services specialist with the 425th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, an active duty unit based in Fort Richardson, Alaska, is part of the operation that supplies food for Soldiers at the intermediate staging base in Alexandria, Louisiana for rotation 16-04 at the Joint Readiness Training Center Fort Polk, Louisiana. The active-duty unit is augmenting for their Reserve Component counterparts for the exercise. The Army and Army Reserve continuously make preparations to deliberately and purposefully integrate training among and between components as part of the Army Total Force Policy. The policy ensures that there is continuity within the different components and promotes interoperability.
