Description

Army Flight Medics administer emergency medical care in a Blackhawk helicopter in both combat and humanitarian missions.

Prerequisites

High School Diploma (preferred)

Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Minimum Score – 107

 

 

Training

If not 68W yet…

  • 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training
  • 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
  • 42 weeks of Critical Care Paramedic Courses and Practical Rotations

 

If 68W Qualified…

  • 42 weeks of Critical Care Paramedic Courses and Practical Rotations

On the job training:

  • Crewmember flight training
  • Specific mission support
  • MEDEVAC
  • Day/Night Hoist Operations
  • Operation of the Medical Interior
