FORT BLISS, Texas - U.S. Army Reserve Maj. Judi Abucejo, an optometrist and individual augmentee to the El Paso, Texas-based 7248th Medical Support Unit, performs an eye exam on a Soldier during a Mobilization Force Generation Installation mission to assist in examinations of service members in their pre- and post-deployment processes at the Vogel Hall Soldier Readiness and Processing Center in Fort Bliss, Texas, Jan. 15, 2026. Service members receive examinations for dental, hearing, optometry, lab work and immunization, as well as schedule visits with providers to discuss and address potential concerns before shipping off to their deployment destinations, as well as returning back to their homes of record.
