KILLEEN, Texas - U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Daren Thompson, an optometry technician for the Kirksville, Mo., based 7240th Medical Support Unit, tightens a screw on a pair of prescription eyeglasses at the optometry section of the Deployment Readiness Center in Fort Hood, Texas, Jan. 12, 2026. Both organic and cross-level augmentees of the 7240th MSU mobilized to Fort Hood to amplify medical and dental readiness capabilities in support of the Fort Hood Mobilization Force Generation Installation, or MFGI, platform for pre- and post-deployment processing endeavors.
