‘Warrior Medics,’ ‘Desert Medics’ complete inaugural combined Best Squad Completion 2025

FORT McCOY, Wis. - Army Reserve Sgt. Brian Heisey, a medical logistics specialist with the Nashville, Tenn. based Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Southeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group, inspects his shot group of a paper target at the M4 Carbine zero course during the Best Squad Competition 2025 led by the Pinellas Park, Fla. based Army Reserve Medical Command and co-hosted by the Gillem Enclave, Ga. based 3rd Theater Medical Command, in Fort McCoy, Wis., from March 24, 2025, through March 30, 2025. Both the AR-MEDCOM and the 3rd TMC competitors handled a variety of individual small arms during the competition; to include the M4 Carbine, the M17 Modular Handgun System, the M9 pistol, the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon and the M240L General-Purpose Machine Gun.
