‘Warrior Medics,’ ‘Desert Medics’ complete inaugural combined Best Squad Completion 2025

FORT McCOY, Wis. - Army Reserve Spc. Carlos Figueredo, a dental specialist with the Fort Hamilton, N.Y. based 7238th Medical Support Unit, checks the seal of his M50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask at the chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological course during the Best Squad Competition 2025 led by the Pinellas Park, Fla. based Army Reserve Medical Command and co-hosted by the Gillem Enclave, Ga. based 3rd Theater Medical Command, in Fort McCoy, Wis., from March 24, 2025, through March 30, 2025. Figueredo is one of eight AR-MEDCOM Soldiers who have taken part in the inaugural Best Squad Competition between two of three Army Reserve medical commands and is slated to engage with his squad in the U.S. Army Reserve-level competition later this year.
